Recycled
	Recycled Paper can be 100% recycled or consist of a mixture of pre and post consumer waste along with some virgin fibre to add strength.
Environmental Accreditation
	A paper mill that has internationally recognised environmental standards and an ongoing commitment to the conservation of natural resources. eg. Nordic Swan, ISO 14001 EMS, EMAS, Blue Angel.
Managed Plantation Fibre
	Fibre used in the production of paper that shows this symbol is sourced from managed renewable plantation forests. eg. FSC, PEFC, SFI
Totally Chlorine Free
	No chlorine gases or Chlorine compounds are used. Instead Hydrogen Peroxide is used for bleaching.
Elemental Chlorine Free
	ECF bleaching uses Chlorine Dioxide. Once the process is complete the chlorine atom leaves the process as chloride or salt.

K.W. Doggett Fine Paper is now operating right along the Eastern seaboard, with the acquisition of NSW based company Jaeger Fine Papers. We are now Australia’s largest independent family-owned paper merchant.

K.W. Doggett’s Sydney operation will be run as a mirror business to Melbourne and Brisbane, with plans to re-brand the company and relocate to larger premises in the near future. A sheeter will be purchased for the new warehouse to allow greater stock flexibility and stock levels will increase significantly.

The strategic goal is to successfully join the cut-sheet market aspects of Jaeger with Doggett’s strengths in commercial papers and specialty papers, in order to deliver a comprehensive service to printers. Tom Baker, founder of Jaeger Fine Papers will stay on in the Sydney arm of K.W.Doggett in a sales capacity role.

K.W. Doggett’s Head Office will remain in Melbourne.

Kangan Batman TAFE wanted to emphasise in their Annual Report 2002 that they took a social, environmental and financial approach to business and that they were the first Victorian TAFE to achieve ISO14001 Environmental Management System certification. Recycled stocks such as Envirocare 100% Recycled and Keaykolour Recycled Chaff, were used to highlight these initiatives. Additionally, the report was printed with one PMS colour throughout.

K.W.Doggett Fine Paper is the only independent paper merchant in Australia with sheeting and rewinding machines. Located in Melbourne and Brisbane, with the view to purchase a machine for Sydney, our high speed sheeting machines have been designed and developed to accurately cut paper from reels into sheets, at operating speeds of up to 200 metres per minute.

The Sheeting Machine is made up of 5 sections:

1. Unwind Section
   Made up of unwind stands which hold the paper reels (often weighing up to 1.5 tonnes)
2. Slitting Section
   Determines the sheet width and slits the web
3. Sheeting Section
   Determines the sheet length using one top knife which rotates over a fixed button knife
4. Overlap Section
   Overlaps the sheets to feed onto a pallet
5. Pallet Section
   Sheets are stacked onto pallet, ready to be packed and delivered

All sheeting and guillotining (if required) is completed in-house at K.W.Doggett Fine Paper, ensuring total control and an economical and reliable solution to meet customer requirements.

The use of a sheeting machine means less off cuts and less waste – which is not only economical but environmentally friendly because it reduces excess paper that would otherwise go to landfill.

K.W.Doggett Fine Paper’s sheeting machines are used to convert reels of Sovereign A2, Grange Offset, Alpine Bleach Board and newsprint into sheets.
